Inspired by the incredible support he received from his mentors, coaches, colleagues at ALU, and the Jesuits in Rwanda, Isaiah founded SimpleJoint Trust in 2023. SimpleJoint, which initially started as a campus initiative at ALU, is now a mission-driven nonprofit organization on a mission to empower young people with the mind-tools and resources for human development through mentorship, fellowship, bootcamps, scholarship, grants, and academic coaching.

His leadership as Campus Director of the Millennium Fellowship, an initiative of Millennium Campus Network (MCN) and United Nations Academic Impact (UNAI), reignited his passion for social impact and sustainable development in African communities and the diaspora. A passion that was incepted in the classroom. During his time of service at Kigali International Community School (KICS) as a classroom teacher, Isaiah was inspired and encouraged to reach his full potential of impact beyond the classroom walls, a mission that has guided his reflections and studies at the ALU School of Business.

Winning multiple scholarships, including the scholarship award from the Mandela Institute for Development Studies -MINDS Africa and recognizing the disparities in opportunities for underserved students, Isaiah felt a strong mission to give back to his community. This has inspired the Trust’s initiative of the Emerging Servant Leader (ESL) Program, committed to nurturing the potential of underserved college students through the principles of servant leadership, aiming to inspire servant leaders, break down barriers leading to dropout and encourage a culture of giving back to communities.

He believes that ”Everyone has a story to tell and a mission to fulfill in this world, but you must first learn from those who have gone before you" - Isaiah Kporon. This quote guides Isaiah’s passion for youth development through coaching, mentorship, and servant leadership. He is on a mission to see people thrive in a changing world, and as agents of change in the community they serve. His story continues…
