SIMPLEJOINT is a Community Benefit Company (CBC). This social enterprise partners with mission organizations and communities to drive social impact programs that empower youth and advance sustainable development in African communities. Founded in Rwanda and led by a team of servant leaders, our nonprofit is dedicated to empowering underserved students through career mentorship and leadership opportunities because we believe in the power of servant leadership to transform communities. Our partnerships are built around the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), focusing on creating a sustainable future for all by tackling grand challenges in Africa through our initiatives.

I can’t understate the role that coaching and mentorship that Simplejoint played in my journey. Through the coaching, I was able to clarify and refine my story and purpose more articulately, which helped immensely during my scholarship application and interview preparation. It also helped me grow in confidence, not just as a scholarship applicant, but as a servant leader.
To emerging servant leaders, I would say: don’t underestimate the quiet work you’re doing right now. Stay open to guidance, stay teachable, and don’t give up just because the process may feels slow. The right opportunities often meet you in the middle of persistence and preparation.
I was on the verge of securing an international scholarship with MINDS when I began working with Isaiah, he provided invaluable guidance throughout the entire process. To emerging servant leaders, I encourage you to believe in yourself and your capacity to make a difference.
My message to Emerging Servant leaders is simple: never underestimate the power of your story, your experiences, and the impact you can create. Rejections can be discouraging, but they do not define your future. Keep applying, keep learning, and keep showing up. Often, the “NO’s” are preparing you for a better opportunity and helping you grow stronger along the way. Your time will come. Stay persistent, seek mentorship, believe in yourself, and trust that the right opportunity will align with your purpose when the moment is right.
